2019/2020 Prefect Leadership Training

In line with the school's vision of raising worthy and excellent leaders who will make huge contributions in our society, the selected prefects for the 2019/2020 academic session were on Wednesday, 24th of April, sent on a week-long intensive training programme at the Citizenship and Leadership Training Center, Sea School, Apapa, Lagos.

Just as Mark Yarnell said “A leader is someone who demonstrates what’s possible” – they were engaged in various tasks ranging from physical drills, mental alertness, capacity building and empowerment to help inculcate in them qualities of self-discipline, self-reliance, selfless service and to help meet with the ninth strategic intents of Preston International School “develop leadership skills at all levels of the school community.”

To crown it all, they were engaged on a long-trek to the tarkwa bay beach – where they had lots of fun and gaming moments that reiterated the fact that nothing good comes easy and that endurance with perseverance has a great gain. It was indeed jam-packed with educative, challenging, fun and interesting moments in a lump sum.

Our earnest plea is that the God who helped Josiah will help these young ones to keep the flag flying and make them a shining light to the nations and peoples of the earth.
