𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐈𝐍-𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 (𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐓) | 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 - 𝟕 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
On 7th September, 2026, the Preston International School family came together for our 2026 In-Service Training (INSET) under the theme:
“𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 – 20 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕.”
The training began with a time of Praise, Worship and Opening Prayer, setting the tone for a morning of reflection, learning and renewed commitment.
This was followed by a Welcome Address from the Principal (Mr. Felix Jegede), officially setting the stage for the day’s sessions.
An engaging icebreaker, “The Legacy Table Challenge: Since I Came to Preston,” led by Mrs. Olubejide (The Junior School Coordinator), gave staff the opportunity to reflect on their individual journeys, experiences and contributions to the Preston story.
The highlight of the morning was the Director’s session — “From Vision to Victory: Sustaining and Improving Performance.” Speaking on the theme, the Director challenged every member of staff to take ownership of their roles, embrace accountability and give their very best to the Preston cause. The session reinforced the understanding that sustaining 20 years of impact requires everyone to take responsibility for the quality of their contribution and remain committed to excellence.
Next was Session 2: Performance Management & KPIs — Clear Expectations at Every Level, facilitated by Mr. Felix Jegede, focusing on the importance of clearly defined expectations and effective performance at every level of the organisation.
Following a short break, Mr. Obajemihi (V.P Academics) led the Performance Management Activity, providing an opportunity for staff to engage practically with the principles of performance management.
The programme concluded with a Closing Charge and Prayer, leaving staff with a renewed sense of purpose as we look ahead to the future.
As we celebrate 20 years of impact, we are reminded that the journey from vision to victory is a collective responsibility.
