Preston International School Robotics Team Secures 2nd Place at FIRST LEGO League UNEARTHED Competition - (6th–12th July 2026 | Kigali, Rwanda)

Preston International School proudly celebrates another remarkable milestone as our Robotics Team secured 2nd Place Overall at the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) UNEARTHED Competition, held as part of the Pan African Innovation Bootcamp in Kigali, Rwanda, from 6th to 12th July 2026.
Representing both Preston International School and Nigeria, our students demonstrated exceptional innovation, technical ability, creativity, strategic thinking, and teamwork throughout the competition.
The team was assessed across four core areas:
Innovation Project
The team was recognised for the originality and viability of their innovative solution, demonstrating their ability to identify challenges and develop creative, practical responses.
Robot Design
Their robot design was commended for technical creativity and engineering efficiency, reflecting thoughtful design and effective problem-solving.
Robot Game
Through strategic planning, precision, and effective execution, the team demonstrated outstanding performance in the Robot Game.
Core Values
Beyond technical performance, our students exemplified the values of teamwork, inclusion, and integrity, demonstrating that true innovation is strengthened by collaboration and character.
